Developing
Your Project Planning Worksheet (Script) |
So you are ready to build your learning object(s). You have submitted your online “Skimmit”. Next you need to provide a project planning worksheet to the technical developers so they can build your learning object.
To create the worksheet you will need to open the
Project Planning Worksheet located under the Faculty Builders link on the Home
page.
The forms in the worksheet look like this.

In area (1) you can provide the technical developers with
special directions including what photos or video clips or animations or other
information that will help the developers create your learning object.
In area (2) you can type the text, add graphics or clipart
or any other information that you would like in that screen of the learning
object. (Note: This is a word document. You can insert any information into the
script page that you can insert into a word document.)
In area (3) you can provide audio information. In this area
that you can provide audio scripts or sound effects with directions as to how
you want them added to this frame.
The online project planning worksheet file contains 20
frames for your script. Notice that the first frame is labeled Title,
the second frame is labeled Introduction and the third frame is labeled Directions.
These are usually the first three frames in a learning object and introduce the
student to the activity.
If you need additional frames you can copy and paste additional frames to the open document.
If you have not yet completed an online “Skimmit” you will
need to do so now. The online “Skimmit” can be found under the Faculty Builders
Resources link on the Home page.
When you have completed your script the first step is to print the document and attach it to your “Skimmit”. Keep this copy for your records. We will refer to the file number on your “Skimmit” and the script if you have further information or edits.
To send us this script electronically first, save the file,
then attach it to an E-Mail. Send the E-Mail to Wisc-Online@fvtc.edu. In
the subject line type the object number from your online “Skimmit”.
To mail this document please send a copy of the online “Skimmit” and the completed Project Planning Worksheet to:
