Traditionally the employees keep detailed, handwritten ledgers for all items coming in or leaving the Dock. Employees have noticed that, for the past 16 months, all items coming to Loading Dock 3 have been labeled with bar codes, which are able to be scanned easily and quickly into computers with the appropriate software, eliminating the need for handwriting the ledgers.
