The Planets: Mars
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun. Presently, information is being relayed from nine active probes on or in-orbit around Mars, including six orbiters and two rovers. Recently, Europe's ExoMars mission landed on Mars on October 19th 2016.
The Planets: Venus
Venus, the second planet from the Sun, is also known as Earths "twin". Venus was the first planet to ever be reached by a space probe. The Soviet probe, Venera 7 was the first probe to land on Venus in 1970. Currently, the European space agency's Venus Express is orbiting the planet.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and is not easily seen except during twilight hours.
