As a non-profit serving the private and public sectors, our products range from corporate learning solutions to free, publicly accessible instructional programs. Our award-winning learning objects have been providing student success and homework help for over a decade.
Since 1999, we have been building learning objects designed to condense information into small segments that are easy to understand. Our users choose to learn what they want, at their own pace, from anywhere in the world. Our mobile optimized, interactive learning objects expand knowledge, display technical animation, increase problem solving skills, generate ideas, and provide workforce training.
Our collaborative approach to world-wide education earned two NSF-ATE Learning Objects in Manufacturing grants, a Pirelli International Award in the field of Chemistry in 2005, a 2007 Innovation of the Year Award, and a Digital Content and Curriculum Achievement Award in 2009.
In 2010, the first evolution of Wisc-Online personalized education by allowing learners to create profiles, search for learning objects that align with meaningful topics, and communicate with Wisc-Online though comments and forums. Shortly after these improvements, Wisc-Online was expanded to include specialized sections funded by U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT grants - Gamma Plus Manufacturing and Interface Information Technology.
With the launch of _Wisc-Online 3.0_ in 2014, monthly users have surpassed 1.5 million. Users engaged with the site can rate and discuss learning objects, save learning objects to their profile, follow others and select subjects by category. Users can share their favorite learning objects on social media and earn badges after reaching educational benchmarks.
Currently, we maintain a reputation for building quality learning management systems, innovative instructional design, and concise learning application development. Our expert instructors in the fields of health, science, mathematics, technology, industry, and general education create study aides that are proven to help users earn higher test scores and better grades.
Fox Valley Technical College maintains fiscal and operational responsibility for Wisc-Online with guidance from an advisory council that includes representation from all of the colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System.
