The Brain -- Anatomy and Function
Learners review and reinforce their knowledge of brain anatomy and function. They complete an exercise matching brain terms with their functions.
In this animated activity, learners examine how organs are visualized in three dimensions. The terms “longitudinal,” “cross,” “transverse,” “horizontal,” and “sagittal” are defined. Students test their knowledge of the location of abdominal pelvic cavity organs in two drag-and-drop exercises.
In this interactive object, learners read about the occupations that are most at risk for bloodborne pathogen exposure. They also read about the most common pathogens and how they are transmitted. This learning object is based on information from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
