Why is the letter A used to denote mass number?
I believe the "a" represents an Atomic mass unit (amu): A unit used to express the mass of an atom equal to exactly one-twelfth the mass of a carbon-12 atom.Posted by Tom Thiel on 3/20/2015 9:08:28 AM Votes 0.00
