The information is great. It will help build the basics behind measurement techniques. After all, everyone knows how to use a ruler...dont they?

Great intro. The only thing I would edit is the forcing of an estimate to the nearest gradation/division. The example given where the item falls short of the 3/8 marking, but the measurement is supposed to be quoted as 3/8 is not what I would teach my students to do. I think it best that the students estimate in between the gradations.
