In this drag-and-drop activity, learners identify if the step they are taking is a permanent action to make sure the problem doesn’t occur again, or a temporary action to put out a fire. This learning object might be particularly applicable to a data quality situation; for example, when a systems implementation team takes a temporary action to work around schedule or budget constraints, or when users take a temporary action on their own after implementation to handle a situation that the system’s designers had not considered.
